That’s right, you heard correct, I have the next 3 weeks off and I am so excited about it! We haven’t had a day off in such a long time due to selling at various garden shows, in fact we had 5 shows in a row which was pretty hard going. Last weekend we were setting up shop at Woburn Abbey and had a perfect weekend if not a bit windy… My mum came to help us out this time and we managed to tie the trip in with two overnight stay at my Sister’s who lives 20 minutes away from the garden show. This meant we could work during the day and spend time with my nephew and new baby niece during the evening, a bonus for everyone!
One of the things I love most about this garden show is the location, Woburn is a beautiful place and I highly recommend a visit. Of course we didn’t get to look around the whole grounds but what I did see was lovely. There was a perfect little flower border full to the brim with beautiful blooms as well as 2 waterlily lakes. But my most favourite part was the small but perfectly formed kitchen gardens…
It’s what I envision my dream garden to look like with the tidy raised beds, walls full with fruit trees and lots of vintage items and planters scattered around. One day maybe!
However, I’m currently writing this blog post sat at the kitchen table in Wales and I’ll be here for the next 3 weeks. I arrived yesterday with plans to help out with getting the hay in, tidying the trees around the farm and general farm work so it’s going to be a busy few weeks! I’m afraid the allotment back home is being put on the back burner once again, it’s so hard trying to juggle things right now. Especially when you can’t be in two places at once but you so desperately want to be! It’s just a shame that both my loves live 232 miles apart…

Katy, Katy, all you need is two of you to keep your silverbells all in a row.
L&Ls. You really should get that allotment sorted. You loved it and even with limited time it’s only a few hours a week. We all want to see it back again.. motivate
