So Santa has been and gone and what a lucky girl I am! I was completely spoilt and got lots of lovely things for me and my Lottie, which was perfect as I was lacking a lot of tools having only acquired my plot in July. I got a pretty kneeler with matching gloves (which happen to fit my long fingers so I am chuffed!), a tool scrubbing brush, a blackboard handmade by my wonderful Dad, a repro Land Girls manual, Alys Fowler Thrifty Forager book, a Liberty print robin, a mug, some gardeners hand lotions, a doormat and a boot scraper shaped like a turtle! I am so happy and grateful to my parents and family for all the wonderful presents
After the usual christmas festivities of eating till you could burst and watching as much cheesy television as possible I popped up to plot 15c to move my gifts into the shed (and to have a relaxing cup of tea!). The blackboard my dad made for me has been securely screwed to my stable door, perfect for writing to do lists and my doormat adds a lovely homely touch.
I also made some plant markers for my Dad to place in his own allotment, plot 3c. I used strips of pine and painted them in the same cuprinol shade as his shed (we like things to match!) I then cut and attached pieces of reclaimed slate tiles to the wood and hey presto! Handmade plant markers which didn’t cost the earth!
I hope everybody had a fantastic christmas 🙂 xx
