It’s been a busy old three days spent at the Garden Show in Stansted Park, the sun was shining, the people flocked in and we had the best time!
The show ran from Friday the 5th to Sunday the 7th of June and by the end of the first day we had already sold completely out of the smaller sized crooks and the new border edging we had for sale had all been purchased aswell. We headed back home that night to start making some more to see us through the next two days, we had never anticipated how well my Dad’s metal work products would sell! It went so well in fact that my Dad decided to stay at home Saturday morning to make lot’s of stock to bring later on that day. So me and my Mum headed back to the garden show with the stock we had made last night to carry on selling and my Dad joined us later on with even more stock. Luckily he did make so much stock as by the end of the entire weekend we had sold out of all sized crooks, the cloche hoops were all sold (including the display pair!) and we had also sold out of galvanised tubs and the old gardening tools too!
We met so many lovely people and customers, including some of you lovely lot that follow me on Instragram. It was nice talking to people with the same interests and the same love of gardening in such a great environment.
I completely recommend the garden show and if I hadn’t been so busy selling it would have made the most perfect day out. There were so many stalls to look round including ones selling plants, seed packets, furniture, garden tools, clothing, accessories, shoes, food and so much more. There were trug making demonstrations, talks on upcycling furniture and falconry too! I managed to spend a few minutes walking around the show and treated myself to two new shirts which were handmade by a lovely lady, I can’t wait to wear them down on my allotment this week when we have a much deserved day off. Surprisingly I didn’t buy any plants, although I was very tempted!
The dates for next years Garden Show at Stansted Park is on the 10th to the 12th of June 2016. We’ll definately be going along to sell next year and hope to see you all there!

Was a great day on Saturday I came away with one of your dads crooks which will be handy for the string holder to go on
Nice to meet you all
Did your dad make the gates as well? they looked fab
I came away with a few plants
Again, thanks for the hi-res pictures. Expanding them allows me to see things with details that make them seem more real. When I kook over the things you had for sale, I caught myself feeling like I was browsing the actual items. Hmmm… I see you are still sold out of your French work jackets.
Thanks for taking us along, Katie.
Ooops, I mean “look”. Although, sometimes I am taken for a “kook”. 8)
