A busy and productive afternoon spent on Plot 15c and boy have I missed it! I went armed with my allotment journal and a long list of things to do, as well as the video camera to start filming the next episode of ‘Katie’s Allotment’ for the Youtube channel. The sun was shining gloriously and I was busy gardening in a t-shirt, looks like Spring has finally arrived and about time too.
On the list today was to plant out the potatoes, the onion sets, sow some carrots, sow some radish and tidy up the water butt and storage area by the shed. I didn’t manage to get to the allotment until 2pm and was so busy filming that I didn’t have enough time to plant out the potatoes. Everything else on today’s list was ticked off though and I couldn’t be happier. It felt so good to get my hands dirty and to spend some time up the allotment. It really is the best kind of therapy!

Hi Katie, I certainly have enjoyed your posts from the winter and now back at the allotment. I haven’t gotten anything done in my garden yet, because I took on a part time job at Giving Tree Garden Market, near Chincoteague Island in Virginia, and have been very busy helping get the greenhouses stocked, and everything potted, etc, so that I have had no time for my own. The really good news is that I can get all of my plants this year from my boss, and not have to spend any money! Look them up on facebook if you get the chance. Hopefully I can get my garden tilled this monday since it’s supposed to be in the high 70’s and will have the day off. Keep up the good work!
How are you getting to and fro 15c? If you’re walking, are you pulling the Radio Flyer? That would deserve a picture.
