I don’t know if anyone spotted a certain someone or a particular purple shed in this months issue of Kitchen Garden magazine? I couldn’t quite believe it when I opened up the November issue of the magazine to see a full page spread photograph of myself staring back at me!
The lovely journalist Benedict Vanheems visited plot 15c back in September 2016 with a microphone and camera in tow where I gave him a tour of the allotment and chatted a little too much. It’s been a long old time since that happened (a year in fact!) but I couldn’t be happier with the 5 page spread article and how it’s been put together. A little bit proud of myself and my little patch of land right now… my heart is bursting!
For all you who can’t manage to get a hold of the magazine I’ve taken a few photographs to share with you all. Although I do recommend subscribing to it, it’s jammed packed with nothing but information about growing your own fruit and veg particularly aimed at allotment holders and back yard smallholdings.
But for now, enjoy!

Congratulations! 🙂 looks fab, must buy a copy. Was great to meet you at Toby’s Garden Festival too – what a lovely day we had in gorgeous surroundings
Katie…..It isn’t just your lavender shed or your allotment that is interesting….it is the gift of you and how you come across to people that makes everything you say and do – so very enjoyable. You have been given a gift from God – to express yourself in comforting words and actions that so appeals to us…. I am so happy after I read one of your blog comments….so down to earth (pardon the pun)….so humanly lovely….please continue and thank you!
Totally agree Jeanne, when I am feeling ‘overwhelmed’ I come to Katie’s site, look at some videos and read some of her journal, I feel 1000 times more peaceful and tranquil. Also feel inspired to take some of Katie’s ideas and grab the gardening tools and that leads on to a good ‘garden workout’, rosy cheeks and equilibrium restored. She does have a gift , a lovely girl.
