I’ve really missed spending time up my allotment and getting my hands dirty, Summer seems to have passed in a blink of an eye and the plot is looking a little sad and empty. I miss those early Summer days when the sun was shining and I could spend all day gardening, watching the frogs in the pond and the bees and butterflies flying around. This Winter has really started off rubbish, the rain and miserable weather combined with it getting dark by 4.30pm means trips to the allotment have been limited. Plus I have been away in Wales quite a lot… but I’m not complaining about that!
I did however, manage to get up the allotment last weekend to film a few videos and I was pleased to see that the broad beans I had sown a few weeks ago have all popped up. Here’s hoping for a better harvest than last year!
I really can’t wait until next years growing season and it’s sure something to look foreward too, even though I haven’t started planning yet! There’s so much I want to do next year and I’m dying to try out a few new varieties of vegetables and flowers. Plus I have a few more projects in the pipeline with a new series of videos too, all will be revealed soon.
