I’m back from another trip to Wales, this time I was able to stay there for 3 weeks but work was calling and I had to come back, we have lots of garden shows lined up over the next few weeks so it’s going to be busy! Then there’s the allotment which has a long list of things to do…
Wales was, like always, pretty much perfect. I was able to spend my 27th birthday on the farm with Charles and I couldn’t be happier, he surprised me with a trip to Picton Castle and we had fun exploring the grounds and having lunch out. We visited auctions and went on a bluebell hunt, we also visited another farm which has baby goats, piglets and calves (I wanted to take them all home!)
We were busy on the farm too, harrowing, sowing grass seed and rolling a few fields. I even had another go driving the tractor, although I’ll admit I wasn’t very good! The lambs sure are getting nice and big and the little orphaned lamb follows us around the farm like a shadow, he is still unbelievably cute though. I was also able to pick lots of wild garlic that grows down on Charles farm, I made scones and pesto with it which were both very yummy.
I won’t be visiting Wales for a few weeks now due to having three garden shows in a row so I’ll be missing it (and a certain someone) terribly. Hopefully the time will fly though and I’ll be back before you know it!
